Hello everybody, I hope you are all doing well.
My apologies for the delay in getting this process going as we transition to the 2021 season.
First order of business is to complete an activity check to see who we need to replace. Whether or not you plan on returning next season, I ask that you please reply to this message letting us know if you will be back or not next season. This activity check will remain open until 5:00PM on January 30, 2021. If I do not hear from you by then, it will be taken as you're not coming back and you will need to be replaced. You can reply to this message for the activity check.
We previously set the deadline for Franchise Tags and Contract Extensions for the end of Week 17. Thinking about that further, that does not make sense as if we are forced to replace owners, they should be allowed the same opportunity to extend or tag there own players. Therefore, the deadline will be extended to a date TBD. Once we complete the activity check, and fill any open spots, I will provide an offseason timeline of events that will include this deadline. If you have already deemed a player to be Franchise Tagged, or extended their contract, you will be allowed to change the player if you would like prior to the new deadline. Please communicate this change with me.
