Sorry for the delay in getting this out. But as you may have seen, with the Jags cutting Tim Tebow we have our first player on waivers. For those of you new to the process of doing transactions on Proboards, I wanted to quickly go through the steps.
If you would like to place a claim on Tim Tebow, please reply to the post the Jags created, that you are placing a claim. Players are on waivers for 48 hours. You can always view a list of players on waivers on the master sheet under the waived players tab. This will tell you when they were waived and when the 48 hours is up. If you are putting claims on multiple players, please rank your claim as players will be awarded in the order of your ranked claims. You can find the waiver order on the main tab of the master.
If a player placed on waivers is claimed, the team releasing the player is no longer on the books for any cap hit, and the claiming team takes on the full remaining portion of the contract. If the player is not claimed, the releasing team is responsible for 50% of their cap hit for each remaining contracted year and the released player becomes a UFA and is open for the normal bidding process.
