I have a Cam Newton-sized hole at QB and would like to at least make an attempt to compete this year, thus, with very few realistic trade options given the QB landscape in this league, obtaining Bridgewater was a top priority. In return, Denver receives one of the top rookie WR prospects who has potential to make an immediate impact, along with a promising DE talent in Odenigbo. My current depth at WR and adding another young WR makes giving up Jefferson easier to swallow.

Teddy deserves a chance to start and, while we’re sad to see him go, we need to build out this receiving corps and the defensive trenches. We’re excited to add a young, cost-controlled talent like JJ to the roster. We’re also thrilled to add Odenigbo to the DL, where he’ll provide some much needed production and upside.
