Hello guys, we've finally finished the inaugural draft, with a bit of a dangerous final pick by the Browns... With that being said, it's now time to assign contract lengths. Thank you to the teams who have already submitted their rosters. The quicker these are done and completed, the quicker trading opens up. Rosters must be submitted by 5:00 pm EST on Friday, May 22. As a reminder, the contract structure is as follows:
5 Year Contracts: Max of 6
4 Year Contracts: Max of 6
3 Year Contracts: Max of 6
2 Year Contracts: Max of 6
1 Year Contracts: Unlimited
Either at 5:00 PM EST Friday, or if the final roster submission is completed before then, trading will open up. At this time all players, 2020 and 2021 rookie picks can be traded. 2022 rookie picks CAN NOT be traded until after the completion of the rookie draft next week. Remember, to trigger voting by the rules committee, the trade must be posted to proboards with a quick blurb on your reasoning and replied to by the partnering team with their reasoning. When trading for rookie picks, you must have the available roster space going into the pick. So if you have 31 players after inaugural draft, the max rookie picks you can have without trading a player is 9.
Draft pick trading during the rookie draft WILL be allowed, however, once you've been on the clock for four hours, the pick can no longer be traded. You will once again have eight hours per pick.
The rookie draft is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th at 10:00 AM EST, however this is subject to be pushed back a few days depending on the birth of my baby. The draft will once again take place on Fantrax. Because fantrax currently does not provide the option of a second draft, I have to add six rounds to the draft that was just completed. The draft room will be open and remain suspended until then. Inside the draft room you are given the option to sort by just rookies, helping ensure rookies are drafted. Eligibility is for players who were eligible for that specific year's NFL draft and have been drafted, or signed as an undrafted free agent. They MUST have a green (R) next to their name to be drafted.
This should cover it. Please let me know if you have any questions!
